Problem in running pst2gb.exe

the Oversized PST Recovery tool, pst2gb.exe to trunkcate my oversized
outlook.pst file. I've selected ther oversized pst file and created a new
outlook-2.pst file for the recovered data. Wen I hit the "start" button, it
gave me an error msg saying Problem Encountered:
The program encountered problems. Check the file name and try again.

I see no problem with the names - outlook.pst and outlook-2.pst. What's not
right?? Help!!!

Have you tried to run SCANPST on the newer file?
Have you changed Outlook to open the newer file?

Microsoft Outlook 2002 and earlier versions limit the size of Personal
Folders (PST) file to 2GB. Whenever the PST file reaches or exceeds
that limit, you will not be able to open or load it any more, or you
cannot add any new data to it. This is called oversized PST file
problem. More detailed information can be found at

You can use Advanced Outlook Repair to solve the problem, by either
converting it into Outlook 2003 format ( http://www.datanumen.com/aor/problems/convert-2gb-pst.htm
