Problem: In a few minutes computer stops to resolve internet names

Hi ALL,

I have the following:
0. Wireless Access Point with built-in ADSL Modem and Router (it is
exactely GoldLine DSLline Wireless Modem-Router 54Mbit, www.compu-shack.com)
1. Stationary computer with WinXP Pro connected with the router by the
Ethernet Network card and usual patch cable; Previousely acts as a gateway
and had shared (DSL) Internet Connection;
2. Notebook (Fujitsu-Siemens) with WinXP Pro and PCMCIA Wireless
Adapter, connected with the router over WLAN;
3. Notebook (IBM ThinkPad) with WinXP Pro and built-in Wireless Adapter,
connected with the router over WLAN;

Every of 1-3 successfully receives from the router's DHCP corresponding IP
configuration. The machine 2 and 3 works fine without any problem. But the
stationary does the following. In a few first minutes after the finish of
the XP's Network Setup Wizard the Internet connection works fine and
successfully navigates to any of web resources. But after that borwsers (IE,
Opera, NN, Mozilla...) stop to recognize most of server names and report
"Could not locate the server <www.something.com>". And it happens not for
ALL, but only for some of Internet resources; a few servers still reachable.
And at the same time the "unreconizable" servers could not be PINGed,
TRACERTed, NSLOOKUPed
As unreachable are, e.g., www.hotmail.com, cgi.ebay.de
But the computer 2 and 3 at the same time feel no problem.

I'he recalled the Network Setup Wizard, remove and reinstall Network Card...
No effect.
What the problem could be?
Additionally, after the finish of the Network Setup Wizard some strange
(beacause it does not exists on the comp.2 and 3) network connection
appears. Its name "Internet Connection", type "Internet Gateway"????? and
device name "Internet Connection". What the....? Where can I read about it?
I want the machine acts as "normal, usual" workstation, neither server nor
gateway or ICS computer

escpecially you have no clue what that "de.german" means ... thats a
german-language-only newsgroup ...

is the Internet Connection still shared on that machine? If so, uncheck
that option.

check the DNS-settings on that computer. Only the IP of the router should be
used as DNS. Also check Proxy-settings in IE.
