cannot see shared resources via wireless router

network is set up as follows: DSL modem connected to wired router. one
connection from wired router goes to wireless router. xp pro notebook
connects to wireless router. internet connectivity on wireless pro machine is
fine. however, shared resources (files and printers) from wired network
cannot be seen on wireless notebook. I've set up the notebook to be in the
same workgroup as the wired network computers, and I've run the network
wizard, and enabled file and printer sharing on all computers. any ideas? I'm
thinking that the wireless router isn't authenticating me from the notebook
to the wired router and the wired network. thanks in advance for any help!

Look in the Firewall on the wireless notebook if the File and Printer
services is enabled.
how do you authenticate on LAN with MACs or with IPs/Computers name?.

thanks for the quick reply. F&PS is enabled through my wireless connection
firewall. I do not have any 3rd party firewall software, only the xp pro
firewall.

my computer is a member of the correct workgroup, and it has a unique name
in the workgroup as well.

any other info I can provide?

Do you need to use both routers? If you can connect the DSL modem and
the wired computers to the wireless router (eliminating the wired
router from the setup), everything will work.

If that isn't possible, configure the wireless router as a wireless
access point only, bypassing its routing capabilities:

1. Disable the wireless router's DHCP server.

2. Connect the wired router to a LAN port, not the WAN (Internet)
port, on the wireless router.
