Problem getting laptop wireless connection

I have problem which presented for the first time two days ago.
I have a Sony Vaio Core 2 Duo laptop with integral wireless.
For over 6 months it has connected flawlessly with my Linksys
SRX200 wireless router. The other day it gave me an error message
saying "No wireless connection is available". I tried the "Repair"
option, ran the Wireless Wizard, reinstalled the SRX200 software,
all to no avail. For some reason the laptop refuses to recognize
the wireless router, even when it's within 5 feet.

Any suggestions.........?

Might sound silly, but check that your router is giving a wireless signal.
Wireless can be turned off on my router.

Thanks for the suggestion but to my knowledge there is
no disconnect for the signal on this router.

Duh - sorry - should read the post better!
As I understand it, the SRX200 isn't your router, but an add-on to the
router. Enter 192.168.1.1 to get to your router configuration page (if it's
a Linksys) and look for Wireless Network Mode - it may be set to Disabled.

Have you tried this?

Turn off the modem, turn off the router. Wait about 20 seconds, turn on
the modem. Wait 20 seconds, turn on the router.
