Problem changing standard e-mailclient

L

Leida

When I follow the instructions to make Windows Mail my standard e-mailclient
it automatically changes back to the 'current e-mailclient'. But I don't use
another e-mailprogram. Windows Mail is also not visible in the list with
standard programs. What can I do to fix this?

Windows Mail missing from the default programs listing in Windows Vista:

After applying the .REG fix from the above link, try this:

Click Start, select Default Programs
Click Set program access and computer defaults
Click Custom, and select Windows Mail
Click OK

Then, follow these steps:

Click Set your default programs
Select your mail client from the list
Click Set this program as default
Click OK
