Running Outlook XP 2002 on Win XP.

I'm following the steps at this link:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287563/en-us

This much goes OK:
Tools > Email Accounts > View or change existing directories or address books > Next.

No address books are listed, so I click Add > Additional address books > Next.
On this screen I select Outlook Address Book and click Next. Error message:

"The account you have added is not fully configured. It might not work properly until re-configured correctly."

I've tried running Detect and Repair from the CD, and even uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook. Still get the same problem. All of my Contacts are in the Contacts folder. But I can't access addresses when creating new email.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated. Thanks.

FOOTNOTE:
On the shortcuts menu, when I right-click on Contacts and click Properties > Outlook Address Book tab, that panel is greyed out. The option to "Show this folder as an email address book" is greyed out, as is the window below it "Name of the address book: Contacts."
