Privatizing a folder

Hi, can someone tell me how to make a folder private or password protected.
I tried to do it in Windows explorer but the box that you should choose to
make a folder private is grayed out and cannot be chosen.
How can I password protect a folder?

Hi,

That option is only available when the file system is NTFS and the folder is
housed under the user's local profile. Otherwise, you need to set
permissions. How you do this depends on the version of WinXP that you are
using. For WinXP Home users, you need to restart in Safe mode and logon with
the default administrator account. In WinXP Pro you need to disable 'simple
file sharing' in folder options. Then follow the steps here:
