Private FOlders

Hi. Im having a problem with a private folder on my
computer. Here goes:
I have a network between myself and 4 other housemates.
We share almost everything and so i didnt have hundreds
of shared folders on the network, i just shared my My
Documents folder. I had a single folder inside my
documents set as private as this contained personal
stuff. I re-formatted and re-installed windows again, (my
documents were on a seperate partition) and now can't
access the private folder. Does anyone know how i can get
this stuff back? There's some pretty important stuff in
there.
