PRINTING PROBLEM IN REMOTE DESKTOP SESSION

G

Guest

I have a Windows 2000 Server on location at my store. The business office is located off site and I am running Windows XP Professional. I log into the Server via Remote Desktop. I have a Lexmark X6150 attached to my local client via USB

The Lexmark drivers were installed manually on both the terminal server and the local client. When I log into a remote desktop connection, the terminal server appears to recognize the USB Port on the local client. I say this because when I look at the properties of the Lexmark printer (in the settings/printers folder) the USB Virtual Printer Port appears as an available port option

Even with this port selected, the print test page function does not work. I get an immediate error message telling me the test page print failed...

Meanwhile the printer printes locally for programs run directly on the local client...

help.

Hi Joshua,

You might try using the latest Remote Desktop client (version 5.2) which is
available for download from this site:
