Printing Preferences

Hi,
Does anyone out there know whether an icon exists in Outlook that opens the
'Print' window before printing, rather than sending items directly to the
printer?
I know that is other Office applications that you can customize your icons
and have a choice of either 'Print' (which sends your document straight to
the printer) or 'Print...', which allows you to change printing properties
etc before sending the print. However, I don't think this option exists in
Outlook.
I am asking because we have recently been given a new network printer that
the user has to 'release' their prints from. Our problem is that we tend to
use 'double-sided' as a default setting to save paper, which is fine until
you print a document that only runs to one side of paper, but for which we
are charged as if it was double-sided!
The only way around this seems to be to compel people to change this (or at
least be prompted to think about it) by only letting them print via the
'Print' window. However, in Outlook it appears you can only do this by
selecting 'Print' from the File Menu, and most people do tend to just use the
'Print' icon in the standard Outlook toolbar, which skips this and sends the
document straight to print.
Does anyone have any suggestions at all?
Thanks,
Dickie

Since the option is in the File menu, you can also modify your Toolbar to
include that option.

CTRL+P will also show you the dialog.

Thanks for the suggestion, it works like a charm. I was confused by the fact
that the icons look the same and have the same description 'bubble' when you
hover the mouse pointer over them, but they do have different properties as I
have now discovered.

Once again, many thanks.
