Printing is controlled by the application that you are running. It in
turn drives a printer "driver" which is developed by the manufacturer of
the printer. XP underlies it all, of course, but it is unlikely to be
teh root-caause of your problem. T

o get better assistance you need to specify which application and which
printer.

For the both, check with the vendors (their web sites a bood first look)
of these products for updates of these products which fixes these flaws
you notice.

We've seen this happen in the microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax
newsgroups on numerous occasions (that would have been the correct newsgroup
for your question BTW)... the solution is to tell your discontinued printer
to print Back to Front.... it will now appear in the order you wish it to
(ie Front to Back).

LOL!
My old Canon BJC250 has printed back to front since I got a new HDD and XP.
I now view it as a sort of advantage. In addition to the pages being in the
correct order at the end of the print job, if I am accidentally printing
more than I intended, this is immediately obvious. Sill, it's good to know
it can be changed.
