Printing On A Network

I just replaced a computer on my network with an XP - I
can print from the XP, but can not see the printer on
other (non Xp) computers on the network. I have shared
the printer and can see it on the XP

We had the same issue at our office. What fixed it was
installing NETBEUI communications protocol on the XP
machine's network connection. You have to get it from
the XP CD, as XP does not auto-install it. Then, the
other machines running 98/95 and also running NETBEUI
could see/access the printer. Also be sure
that "authentication" is turned off on the XP network
connection. Hope that helps.

We later converted all machines to XP and dropped the
NETBEUI.
