printing in Win XP home

I HAVE BEING TRYING TO INSTALL "AN HP PSC 2410 PHOTOSMART ALL-IN-ONE PRINTER" FOR SOMETIME NOW AND IT IS FRUSTRATING THAT I GET ALL JOBS QUEUED UP BUT WONT PRINT
A MESSSAGE IS DISPLAYED ON THE PRINT "PRINTING" BUT NOTHING HAPPENS...

THE TEST PAGE PRINTS SUCESSFULLY ON THE PRINTER.
I ALSO GET A SUCESSFULLY INSTALLED MESSAG

CAN ANY ONE HELP??

I am having the same problem with an HP 882C and a Canon S500 on a brand new Dell Dimension with XP Home. Have run the troubleshooter steps, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for both, changed the USB cable, and still have the same problem (or just prints blank pages) as setho. Both printers will print pictures but nothing with text from any app, including Notepad. Both printers worked fine on my old machine with XP Home. Help!

I have had a simular problem with an HP printer. The solution was to
uninstall the printer and reinstall it using HP's instructions very
carefully! You should not just let MS install it.

first...turn off your caps lock..
