printing images

I'm running IE 6, SP2. I've noticed a problem printing
images (only certain images, not all) from IE. For
example, the periodic table GIF at
http://www.physics.udel.edu/wwwusers/watson/scen103/periodi
c.html shows up in the browser and in Print Preview, but
does not print (you just get a black page with the page
title, URL, date, etc.) This image prints from Mozilla
Firefox just fine.

Any ideas why this occurs, and what I can do about it?

Sorry, I meant to say "blank page", not "black page", in
my original post.
