text missing in print preview

IE6 Windows XP Home SP2. Just began to happened on two different websites in
which black & white text is missing from print preview with only part of the
page visible - prints out the same. ink full. Tools-Advanced-Print
Background Colors & Images is unchecked. any suggestions?
