.gif images are not displayed

Hi,

I am using Internet Explorer version
6.00.2900.2180..xpsp_sp2_gdr_060220-1746, Update Versions: ;SP2;. on
Windows XP SP2 operating system.

I am unable to see some .gif images on a web site. I am able to see
them only while right clicking and then selecting 'Show Picture'.

I am able to see the same .gif images on Firefox browser.

I have tried some registry changes as suggested in many web sites, and
some changes to IE multimedia settings, but I am unable to see the .gif
images.

Could any one of you let me know if this is a known issue with IE on
Windows XP SP2 or is it a problem with the website? (But the images
appear properly in Firefox browser).

Any help/info on how to resolve this issue is highly appreciated.

Does this happen on just this website or on any website with .gif files? If
only on this website then it may be that website. Try another one to test it
out. Also sometimes .gif files are lare large. It wouldn't hurt to go into
Tools, Internet Options and delete your temporary internet files and history
to clear out your cache. Hope this is helpful.
