printing gibberish

If you could assist me I would be so grateful! I am
having a problem with my printer that I am unable to
define by normal troubleshooting patterns. My printer is
printing symbols and text with lines running through it.
I re-installed the software for my Apollo P-1200 and it
keeps coming up with an error. This printer worked
perfectly before, but ran out of ink and I changed the
cartridge. Can you offer any suggestions or assistance,
please?!

Try deleting the printer and driver. turn off and restart
your computer and reinstall printer and driver
 
Do a complete uninstall then reinstall of the printer. Do NOT miss out on
Step 4 or XP will reinstall the older and probably corrupted drivers.
