printing from ms dos program

Is there a way to print from an ms dos program to a specific tray on a network printer? Right now when I try it's from a random tray.
Under printer properties I have the one tray I want specified as the default tray all the others are unassigned. I was told it doesn't wont work from an ms dos program. Is there a way to make it work

using Printfil you can print from your dos program to any Windows printer,
using any setting available on the Windows driver.
