Hello,
Annoying printing problem here:
My boss uses a Dell Inspiron laptop, docked either at home or at the
office, running WinXP. At home, he's got an HP printer, and we
network to an HP Laserjet 4000 PS at the office. Proper drivers are
installed for each printer.
He gets major print problems when he creates a document on his laptop
at home, and then tries to print at the office -- and a similar
problem when documents are created at the office, and he attempts to
print at home.
It appears that, after being connected to the network at the office
for some time (say, an hour or so) he can print fine. I believe the
same "adjustment period" occurs when he returns home and tries to
print.
Attempted fixes:
1. Re-setting the default printer in WinXP;
2. Re-saving the document before printing;
Is there any known work-around for this? I'd appreciate any
wisdom-from-experience.
TIA,
Brutus
