Printing from command prompt

Printer connected to win2000 machine as local printer. I
cannot print from command prompt after connecting wireless
network. I have read ALL the articles about printing from
dos, troubleshooting windows printing problems and read
through all the newsgroup postings. The net use lpt1
command does not work. What changed that made my dos
programs not print - printer is still attached to lpt1.
The only thing I did was share the c: drive. Please try to
explain in simple terms. Thanks in advance!!!!!

why should you NET USE a locally connected printer ?

This can not be the problem.
What happens when you try to print from your DOS app.?

Is is possible that you redirected the LPT1 port to some other networked
printer ?
Try to issue a NET USE LPT1 /D to see if this solve your problem.

Kind regards,

At the command prompt, type <net use>, this will tell you
if the pc is seeing lpt1 or if it is being directed via
somewhere else.
