hey all..
can someone recommend a good inkjet printers?
I'm looking at canon printers.....
comments welcome.
Price of ink should be the main deciding factor. After you've
owned the printer for a few months, it's the cost of the ink that
determines the overall operating cost, not the cost of the printer
itself.
I like separate inks for each color, including black. I use mainly
black so I want to be able to buy black refills separately, yet
still be able to do the occasional color logo. What I got for
myself was the Epson Stylus Photo R200. It was inexpensive, has
six separate ink colors and black, and as a bonus it will print
colorful labels on (special) blank CDs or DVDs. I'd characterize
its performance as adequate. It's probably not as cheap in ink
refills as a Cannon would have been, but the stores where I
shopped at the time didn't have the Canon model I wanted.
I used to own a Hewlett-Packard Deskjet 722c. The ink costs a
fortune. Two or three refills, and I had more than equaled the
initial cost of the printer, but I must have spent over a thousand
dollars on ink in the five years I used that printer. The little
rubber belt that drove the print head got dried out, brittle,
cracked, and broke. The main reason I would not buy
Hewlett-Packard again is that their software is badly written and
always gives me conflicts. I finally said enough is enough, no
more HP software on my computer.
