Printers disappeared

Hi All,

My printer disappeared from the printer folder. When I unplug my Epson R300
and then plug it back in, windows detects it, but fails to install the
drivers for it. Using the install CD fails also.

The reason I think it is an XP issue, is that the Add Printer command
doesn't work. I click on it but nothing happens. The mouse icon doesn't
even change to working in the background.

Any ideas?

Sounds like your print spooler has stopped.

I tried your idea, but it says that that service is already running

Try uninstalling and reinstalling it...

If that fails, try blitzing the drivers as per Bruce Sanderson's website:
