Printer woes

Hi
I recently was forced to upgrade a Windows 98 machine to Windows XP
In the course of the cleanup, the guy had to delete the settings for the printer
I succesfully reinstalled the one printer on our newer machine, but when I went to reinstall my printer on THIS machine, I
found I did not have the right CD....I think
I have an HP Deskjet 3820...the CD says 3300 series. I installed it and the machine says the printer is ready, but I can get nothing to print. I am not sure if it is me or the disk. I cannot finfd the manual either...I do have the power light on as well as the light above it, which I cannot figure out what that is indicating
I feel very stupid right now. I am not computer illiterate, but not a genius either. :(6

Go to the HP website and download the latest printer driver for your new operating system. You can download them for free. If you were running Win98 chances are good the drivers you have are not compatible with WinXp

Good luck.
