Printer sharing Z52 across platforms

Please help. I have 3 computers, one XP Pro, one XP Home,
and one ME. I have a Lexmark Z52 printer and am trying to
share it from the XP Home computer to the others. The XP
pro one is working. The ME is not. Lexmark can't
guaranttee that printer will work across platforms but say
it might (but they don't support it). The Dell
isntrcutions say to try inserting the XP CD in the ME
computer and choosing "Install Support Tools" (and then
Install Network Setup Wizard). But that choice is not
there, possibly because Dell sends you a skinnied down
CD. I have wasted two hours being on hold and transferred
around by Dell and they don't seem to even know if its
hardware or software!! Thank G-d I didn't pay extra to
sign up for 4 yrs of this lousy support!!

Can anyone tell me if they have used the Z52 across
platforms and/or how to deal with this choice-is-missing-
on-the-CD issue?

Thanks,
Deana

I had a Z52...now have a Z53 but in my experience I don't
recalll ever being successful at networking the Z52.
Don't give up but I would not pull my hair out over it.
lexmark had reported to me that it was not networkable.

As for Dell cheap computers but still not sure why they
waste money paying people to work support 24x7 they are
no help anyway. They can cut cost there and give us even
cheaper machines...:).
