Printer Sharing Pb - XP / 2000 Server

Environnement :
Server : Windows 2000 Server SP4
Clients : Win XP Pro SP1a

I tried to install some printer on xp clients (HP 930, 990, 3420).
Local print jobs are ok !

Triing to share these printers over the network -> ok

I can't add the printers into ActiveDirectory... And it's impossible to
install the printers onto the others XP clients.

Localy, the printers are discovered (PnP) automatically. When I want to set
the share, i do nothave the little check box 'add into AD' (or something
like that)

I've tried to use the script 'pubprn.vbs' as to publish the printers.
But the script returns an error : you have a win2000 client or earlier
version and its stop. Is this script only for NT4 ?

The secure access rights for the printers are set as 'Everybody' -> Full Access.

Every suggestion / help / solution is welcome as to install and print from
every domain computers to any printers...

Note : none of the printers are directly connected to the network, all of
them are connected to a XP client computer

Regards

Vincent.
(sorry for my poor english)

You don't have to publish a printer in Active Directory to use it over the
network. You can use the Add Printer Wizard on the client, select Network
Printer, then "Connect to this printer..." and key the UNC name of the
printer (\\computername\printersharename) or see
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/NetPrinterAllUsers.htm for an alternative
technique.

Are the Windows XP computers that have the printers attached actually
members of the Windows 2000 Domain? The reason I ask this is because on the
XP SP1 computers in the office (which are Domain Members) the "List in the
directory" check box appears on the printer sharing tab, but it does not
appear on my Windows XP computer at home which is NOT a domain member.

There may also be some Group Policy Objects on the Domain that affect this -
see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;234270.
