printer problem

canon multipass printer is not working. the following
message appears -
"printer not attched" what reason can be for this?

Are you running SP2?

Is this a Parallel Port connected printer or USB.

If parallel device, then check in BIOS as to to the LPT1 printer port
settings, is it at SCP, Bi-Directional or other?

Read the Canon manual and check that the BIOS settings are correct for this
printer.

If USB device, unplug the printer and try out another USB device in the same
port. You may have a flaky USB port.
