Printer only prints in black

The settings on my computer were changed so that the printer only prints in
black. The person who did this cannot remember how to change the settings
back, and I have tried everything possible. E-mailed Lexmark and they advised
checking the cartridges and printing a test page! The cartridges are full,
the test page prints all the black characters perfectly, but the colour is
missing. I would be grateful for any help, thanks.
