printer is always busy

I only have one printer attached to my computer so how
can it always be busy.
Please bear with me through this as I am handicapped by
only being able to type with one hand and my speed not up
to par.

delete the past items stored in the memory.Update the driver.Update
windows/office..Also scan your system with latest virus definitioned
antivirus.
