Printer Fonts going mad

I use on HP 4200 laserjet. Reinstalled drivers etc. All else prints OK
however in some excel worksheets the fonts spillover the edge of the border.

Any ideas gratefully recieved

Iain, just because a cell format has a border does not mean that the cell's
printable content is restricted to it. If the next right cell is empty, the
cell content will print in full, over the border (should be visible on the
worksheet before printing).
Another easy check - use "print preview".

To rectify, either adjust the cell (column) width to accommodate the printed
text, or, reduce the font size.

Thanks for the reply, The cells are full to the right and it all looks good
in print preview.
I keep going back to the printer driver, but have already reinstalled that.
Other workbooks print OK, wondered if there were any bugs in Excel 2003 that
could cause this?
Once again thanks

The only thing that immediately springs to mind is that the FONTS in HP
printer are not exactly scaled (or else, the font in the worksheet is not
supported/fully supported by HP), resulting in HP printer "autoselecting"
its nearest equivalent, marginally greater in size, resulting in cell print
overflow.
Have you tried EITHER - changing the font in the worksheet to a "standard"
font (if not already) OR - reducing the worksheet cell font size by 1 point?
AND - You've reloaded the printer drivers - but do these include up-to-date
fonts? (not having an HP, don't know if "fonts" are separate from
"drivers").
Just random thoughts !

Another random thought - are the offending cell(s)RIGHT-justified ? Try
centre or no justification ...
