We have an older program that fails to print on some users in certain parts
of the program. The printer will print in every other program, but not this
one. I'm not sure if it's a profile, or domain/GPO issue or what.

Can any help?

A lot of older programs don't work as they originally did with dos or older
dos based windows versions.
There are some "tricks" that might be applicable if you will--

Identify the program, and what does or does not print.
Is it a program intended for use with dos? A specific windows version?
Is/are the printer(s) attached to the PC's, or a LAN printer, and what make
and model is the printer.
Since it (by your remarks) works for some users, and not for others, whaat
general differences exist between users.
(Different windows versions, locations, workgroups, restricted users, etc.)

It is a Windows program, and according to the software company, is compatible
with XP. Some parts of the program print fine for all users, but there is
one particular portion that only prints for some users. The HP printer is
attached to this machine, and prints great for all users in every other
program.

I'm still working to isolate the difference between users, but haven't found
a common link yet. Some of the users are Administrators on the local
machine, while some are just regular users.

This program is actually run off of a network server, with a client
application being installed on the local machine to run the program. The
server isn't in the domain while the clients are, and they are pulling down
policy from the domain, so there are a lot of different variables at work
here.
