cannot get printer cache to delete

Sorry to hear that.

Seriously, if you want to get help you have to provide more information.
Start with:

1. What you've already done.
2. The make/model/connection method of the printer.
3. The answer to the First Question of Troubleshooting: what changed between
the time things worked and the time they didn't?

In general, things to clear the printer queue (if this is what you really
mean):

1. Reboot the computer.
2. Turn off and unplug the printer.
3. Stop and start the spooler service.

If you do not own the print job, you will need to open the printer queue
view using Run as administrator.

Once there are no pending jobs scheduled to the device, Run as
administrator, Delete.

If you have Business or Ultimate use printmanagement.msc for printer
administration functions.
