Print spool service turns off every time pc is rebooted

Brand new load of windows XP Pro SP2. Every time the pc is rebooted the
spool service is turned off and I cant find how to fix it. I have to
reinstall printer every time I reboot. The very first thing the install
program does is tell me the spool service is turned off and it has to turn it
on to install the printer. If I exit install program after it turns on the
spooler everything will work fine. How do I fix this.
(e-mail address removed) Thank You all.

Check in services [start |run | services.msc] that print spooler is set to start automatically

Start>Run>services.msc>OK

Scroll down to Print Spooler service and check whether the status says
'started'. If not started, then right-click on it and choose 'start'.
