CORRUPT SPOOL

J

I tried to reinstall my HP 6300 ALL-IN-ONE on my Windows XP. The install was
stopped because the spool is corrupt. I found a fix from Microsoft but, it
did not work.

I tried to recover it from my backup Free Agent using Acronis True Image
but, I can't find just Spool in ATI. It wants to recover all of my files.

Any sugestions out there?

If the MS fix did not work:

Try a system restore
back to a date prior to the problem

If that does not work

burn all your new data to a DVD

then restore the whole machine with your Acronis image
then copy back your data from the DVD

"Spool" is a folder in which various various printer-related subfolders
are located. It is unlikely that the "Spool" folder itself is corrupted.
Possibly some file within one of the subfolders in Spool is corrupted.
You probably don't need to (or want to) restore the entire "Spool"
folder. You may or may not need to recover that file from your ATI image.

Why did you attempt to reinstall your HP 6300 and how did you try to do
it? What happened? Please do not abbreviate error messages.

What "fix from Microsoft" did you try and what happened? Please do not
abbreviate error messages.
