I saw either in this newsgroup or the help and support one a reply post to a
poster about ALT Print Screen or something about print screen. The reply
gave two links to download a print screen program.

I can't find it now and want to try them. I did a search in the newsgroups
but can't find anything. I am not sure what keywords were in the post to
search for.

If anyone knows about these two problems, please post a reply.

Thank You

This is not a print screen program per se. It's called
screenhunter, it is a capture program. you press f6 with
courser where you want to begin and hold the left key
down, move the mouse and it will draw a rectangle of any
size area from a pinhead to the full screen. release the
left key and it is captured in a .jpeg file and saved to a
folder and named in numbered sequence. anything you can
see you can capture, you can cut the face out of a
picture, a line of text, save a invoice from a on-line
purchase, anything. It's the handiest program I have ever
had and it's free.

In Windows, you can press the Print Scrn|SysRq key to take a screenshot of
the entire desktop into the clipboard. From there you can paste it into
your graphics app. or MS Paint. If you want to take a screenshot of the
active/open window, press Alt then press Print Scrn|SysRq.

PrintKey 2000 is the program that I have used for years now. It has many
different settings that help you manipulate and save all or part of your
screen.
The link is at

It works just fine with XP.

Greetings --

Pressing the <PrtScn> key copies the entire display to the
clipboard. Pressing <ALT>+<PrtScn> copies only the active Window to
the clipboard. To view the screen capture, open a graphics program,
such as MS Paint, and press <CTRL>+V. This will paste the contents of
the clipboard (your screenshot) into the open file, and allow you to
view it or save it as a file for later use.
