PRINT PREVIEW ABERRATION

Hi,

Can anyone suggest a reason (and hopefully a cure) for the following
behavior in Word 2003?

The Word document is set to Mirror Margins in Page Setup and Print Preview
is set to display 1 x 2 pages. About halfway thru the document, pressing Page
Down to cycle thru the pages suddenly displays a single page. Pressing Page
Down again displays a further single page. After this, though, it reverts to
double pages.

What you are seeing is likely to be caused by two odd page section
breaks in the document; with "Mirror margins" (and/or "Different odd
and even") enabled in Page Setup, odd page sections always start on an
odd (right) page. To see the section breaks, look in Normal view.

I don't think this is it.

In my document, there are numerous section breaks. The first page in each is
set to Odd Page in Page Setup. However, there is only the one instance where
Print Preview changes to show one page.

Have tried changing Odd Page to New Page but there is no change.

I agree. When you display facing pages in Print Preview, it will display a
blank page as required when you use an Odd Page section break.

I can't imagine what would cause this behavior, but it you would like to
send me a portion of the document that shows this behavior, I'll take a
look.

Will do, thanks.

Is there any way to attach the document to this post?

Can't find one.

No, send it to my email.

You are both right, of course: Print Preview normally displays the
filler pages. I must have been looking at the *first* page, only,
which would display "alone" on the right. :-(
