print preview shows no text

using word 03, after typing a document using default margins I select print
preview and the preview indicates that the page is blank. When I go to pring
the document I get the error message "The margins of section 1 are outside
the printable area of the page" I could be printing a full page document and
the print preview still shows no text. On a two page document the print
preview shows two blank pages. I've tried changing margin settings but
nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

Does this problem occur in one particular document, or in all new
documents?

If it's in one particular document, then open that document.
Click on Format | Columns | One | Apply to: Whole document | OK.
Even if "One" already appears to be selected, click on it
anyway. Save and close the document.

If it's in all new documents, then locate and open your
normal.dot file as described in Method 1 in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm . Click
on Format | Columns | One | Apply to: Whole document | OK. Even
if "One" already appears to be selected, click on it anyway.
Type a character or two and delete what you just typed. Save the
normal.dot file and close it.
