Print messaging

I am on a LAN (everone on win2k) and print from a network server.
Everytime I print, or someone else on the LAN prints
I get this message from the spooler telling me that something was printed.
I tried accessing "properties" of the printer but am told
that "Printer properties can not be displayed. The print subsystem is
unavailable".
How do I stop these print confirmation messages from popping up?

The "print server" does this for you. See "print server" in Help
