Print Jobs just sit in queue until they break, why?

Hi,

I deleted, then reinstalled 2 HP 4050N printers on our Win2000 network
(Win2000 Server).

I can print to neither one of them. Both have correct IPs, both are
pingable, no errors during installation, but print jobs just sit in the
queue(s) until they finally show "error-deleting". Nothing shows up in
Event Viewer.

Does anyone know why this might occur?

Hi! Plz try this:
1. Delete print port and install it again. If this does
not help:
2. Give the printer a new ip-adress.

Sounds typical for HP for me. IP address just stops
working...
