Primary and Secondary Display

I have a dual monitor setup and i need to know how to
swap the primary and secondary monitors?

To make my current monitor 2 become monitor 1 without
swapping the cords in the back of the computer.

And I don't mean by clicking the button in the display
properties that says "Use this device as the primary
monitor."

I mean when i click on the identify button, for my
monitor, and the big number 2 shows up on my screen. I
need it to show the big number 1.

What kind of setup? If this is a 2 card setup, you may have an option in
BIOS setup where you can choose which card the system will initiate first
(primary).

Otherwise your choices, two of which you've already ruled out, are:
o Switching the monitor connections around
o Display Properties (use this device as primary monitor)
o Options provided by software for the display adapter(s). These extras
usually show up in Display> Settings> Advanced.
o Third party program designed to manage multiple monitors (UltraMon, for
example)
