Preview doesn't work in Movie Maker 2

When capturing video using Movie Maker 2 I get scrambled multiple images of
the incoming video on the preview window. Anyone else have this problem? Any
solutions?

I am using the Avermedia EZ DVD Maker PCI capture card with a VHS-C
camcorder for input. The captured video will play back correctly after
capture but the preview doesn't work.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same issue, i've tried numerous fixes,
including re-installing XP, etc. Would also appreciate
possible solutions,
