Prevent page move in slide show

Hello,

Powerpoint 97.

I have a slide show where I have specific objects on the pages which have
links to other slides in the presentation. If you accidently click on the
slide background the presentation moves on to the next slide, I want to
prevent this so that the only way to move between the slides is by clicking
on the objects with the links I have specified.

Is it possible to do this?

Change your slide show to a kiosk. (Show -> Set up Show, then change from
presenter to kiosk.)
