Prevent Concurrent Appointments in Outlook Public Folders

Hello All

I'm using public folders to schedule resources on my Exchange 2003
server.

I've created BUSY appointments for times that I want to BLOCK users
from scheduling time in. However, it seems that it is allowing users
to create simultaneous appointments.

How can I prevent this from happening?

I want to have only one appointment made for any particular time slot.
No overlapping appointments.

Public folders have no resource scheduling features, such as blocking overlapping appointments. If you want those features, you need to use a mailbox not a public folder. See http://www.slipstick.com/calendar/skedresource.htm

Sue - I'm not using a public folder, but rather a private mailbox, so how
would I prevent overlapping appointments? I searched on "disallow overlapping
appointments", but it's only referring to Schedule + - not specifically to
Outlook. Seems like there should be a toggle switch to allow or disallow
concurrent appointments, but I can't seem to locate it.
