prbs with starting winXP PRO

Hello.Its been a few days now when i have probs starting my comp.It comes to the WELCOME screen and stops -after a bip in the computer.It wont continue loading the screen until i have pressed ctr-alt-delete.I can move the mouse,no other messages are coming up just stays like that.
What is the reason for that and how can i fix it.Please help.Any advice would be appreciated .

This might be your answer

login and choose run from the start menu.
type "control userpasswords2" and click ok
click the 'advanced' tab and then at the bottom uncheck 'require users to
press ctrl+alt+del'
