ppt2000 templates

in ppt 2000, can i insert one slide from another presentation without it
updating to the current presentation's design template. i want to leave the
inserted slide with the design that it had in it's original presentation

Sorry, in 2000 the inserted slide will take on the design of the current

As Michael said, you can have only one template in PowerPoint 2000. But you
can fake it: Take a screenshot of a blank slide of the presentation you want
to insert (the image shows only the background graphics). Insert the slide
into the current presentation, insert the background image and send to back.
You might have to correct colors and fonts.
