losing background formatting when combining presentations

D

Deb

I know I've found the answer here before but am unable to do so this time.

I am trying to combine 2 presentations. Each has its own Design Template.
When I move the smaller into the larger using Insert/slides from files I am
not given the option to retain the background.

The smaller presentation, 6 slides, needs to keep it original theme.

I am using Powerpoint 2000.

Thanks!

Multiple masters were introduced in PowerPoint 2002 (aka PowerPoint XP). I
don't think you'll be able to do this easily in PPT 2000, although if you
combine the files in PPT 2002, 2003 or 2007, you'll be able to see the
different backgrounds in 2000 with no problem.

Thanks! Others have given me either links or instructions to do this with
PP2000 in the past. I lost the instructions through a computer crash.

If it were just me I would have a newer version of Office, but this is what
my employer uses and the presentations have to be run on PP 2000.

Still looking, then.

Much thanks! That is not the site I was sent to previously, but they do have
the same directions. Just what I needed.
