PPT Image export quality very poor ?

Hi there I have a Macro that I wrote that exports powerpoint slides to .gif
Image files
I have been using it for 3 years on Windows XP and it has worked fine (good
quality images) I recently switched my Operating System to Windows Vista and
using the same version as on Win XP (Powerpoint 2003) I run my Macro and it
exports the slids to .gif image files but the image quality really is bad. I
have changed nothing except my Operating System. Can anyone give my any
info on this issue and how I might fix it please.

Yet one more potential disappointment with the Vista operating system. I
cannot answer to anyone's satisfaction why a perfectly reliable export
routine becomes deficient under Vista. All I can say is that the GIF file
format should not be relied upon to provide high-resolution results. Its
color palette is too narrow. Can your macro be easily adjusted to export to
JPG, TIF, or PNG instead? If so, it would be a worthwhile experiment to see
if that produces better results. If so, then we know that it is Vista's
support for GIF that is flawed; if not, then the problem is more widespread
and we would need to involve people with pay grades higher than mine...

I would try Office 2007, I think that it works better on Windows Vista
better. I just made a test PowerPoint, and saved with .gif. It opens Internet
Explorer and displays very clearly. What does yours open with?
