PPT 2003 table indent solution

thought I'd share a resolution I've just found for an issue that I've
seen posted here a few times(http://groups.google.com/group/

When you paste a table from Word to PowerPoint 2003, each of the cells
can pick up an unwanted indent. I'm not referring to the text box
indent, which you can set in table properties (Format. The reason this
indent gets set is that each cell pulls from the master. So if your
slide master has an indent in it's body text, that will be applied to
the table. You can't copy formatting for a single cell, so you have to
manually change each cell to the desired indent.

The workaround is to create a new slide master, adjust the indent on
that text and then apply the design of that master to the slide with
the table on it.

Directions:
From normal view with the slides tab showing (on the left)
View / Master / Slide Master
Right click the master you use for text pages
Copy and Paste (it may paste a linked cover master, which you can
delete)
Right click the new master and select Rename Master to "Table
master" (or preferred name)
Click in the Master text styles box and adjust the indent
View / Normal - navigate to the slide with the table on it
Format / Slide Design
In the right hand Slide Design dialog box, click the Arrow next to the
design "Table master" and click "Apply to selected slides"
