Powerpoint XP vs Powerpoint 2000.

Hey,
I created a PPS on my home machine (Powerpoint XP). I then burnt it to CD.
Now when trying to work on it at work (Powerpoint 2000) - most of my
animation/effects are no longer working.
For e.g. I was able to animate various lines within a text box differently
in XP, but it seems to apply the animation to the entire text box in 2000.
Is it a compatibility problem, or is it the burning to CD that destroyed it?
:)

Any ways around this, as I need to make the presentation at work, on a 2000
machine.

Thanks!

Not very PP savvy,
PPT 2002 aka XP has a lot of new animations that will not work in PPT 2000.
PPT is not downwards compatible. Only thing I can suggest is to split your
textbox into several separate ones and animate them accordingly.
It has been a while since I used PPT 2000 so maybe someone will have better
ideas.

To make your presentation backward compatible, you need to click on Tools,
Options, Edit, and Disable new fe3atures before you build your presentation.

It's just the difference between XP (which was the first version to introduce
much more elaborate animation effects) and 2000. The presentation on CD should
be fine; just that 2000 doesn't know what to do with all those neet effects.
It's well behaved enough just to ignore them rather than go into a tailspin.

You can install the free PowerPoint 2003 Viewer on your work machine and use
that to play back the presentation you created at home.
