powerpoint 2007 & flash

I have a problem with using flash animations in powerpoint 2007. When I
open a new powerpoint presentation and insert a flash animation in it,
then it works fine. But once I save it and open it again, it refuses to
play. Who knows how to solve this problem?

Flash files aren't embedded in PPT 2007 -- is it linked properly? Is the SWF
where PPT expects to find it?

I don't embed the swf file in the presentation. The presentation is
stored in the same folder as the swf file, and it contains the complete
path in the "movie" item of properties. When I make the presentation,
the flash animation works as it should, but once I store the
presentation, close powerpoint and open it again, it refuses to play the
animation.

I'd also suggest Flashback, then, as has been mentioned in another thread.

The swf file was made in AS3.

maybe nothing but I had the same issue with a .swf file. I realised that this
only happened with flex exported as .swf. I did some test exporting flash
file with various AS2 and AS3 and all was fine. When i exported a flex
project it was just dandy first time round but if i re-opened no luck. You
could try loading it within another flash file and see if that solves it.

Only 6 levels deep. The length (including drive letter, backslashes and
file name itself) 49 characters.
