PowerPoint Viewer

For some reason I can no longer view PowerPoint files.
For along time I have been using PowerPoint Viewer 2003 to view those files
now these files are not recognized as PowerPoint files even though they have
the PowerPoint file extension. I have even downloaded PowerPoint viewer
2007. Not using MS office just PowerPoint viewer. Could anybody offer a
solution? Thank You.
